This class is suitable for beginners or refreshers.
The session will begin with viewing artist’s books and discussing the unique genre of creativity that they form. There are many stunning examples to take inspiration from and you’ll begin to be aware of the possibilities of form.
The class will incorporate basic bookbinding techniques and use of bookbinding tools as well as folding cutting and sewing various structures. You will make a minimum of three types of book forms as well as exploring ways of putting image and text onto pages.
There will be an opportunity to buy some basic tools for beginning bookbinding and you will be able to log in to password protected tutorials to remind yourself of some of the techniques.
It’s a fun packed session with many methods and techniques that can be modified and adapted to other creative projects.
